I am still a little confused by what the meaning of heterogeneous is in the context of this slide. I suppose does it just mean using a little bit of everything in order to get a system that is optimal for the tasks we plan on performing with it?

@tigerpanda I believe this is correct. I've been interpreting it as ensuring systems have a diverse set of ways to implement parallelism to match the diverse needs of programs that may be run on it.
