are there laptop/desktop cpus that have the big and little core model?

I am surprised to see that we have GPU's in our phones. It makes sense but I initially imagined a GPU being too big and too expensive on power. This is amazing!

It is interesting how the CPU, the king of all processors, makes up a tiny portion of the chip compared to thinks that don't seem as important like the DSP. How do engineers optimize the limited space they have on a chip?
