Are there other arrangements of color filters as well? Or is the one shown the only kind?

I think based on Wikipedia there are many different arrangements: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_filter_array

The one shown is called a Bayer filter. One interesting note is that there are more green than blue/red, which lines up with how the HVS distributes response to incoming light based on frequency.
