if the last two-step the same thing? reconstruction via convolution and coarse sampling?

@christina I think the reconstruction creates the signal but you still coarse sampling at the end to turn the signal into a set of discrete values so that the display knows what light to emit.

@kasi, how should we do the coarse sampling, which page should I check? So by convolution, we go from nn to nn (no change) and by coarse sampling, we get to lower resolution?
